Our Programs
Bahay Kultura is a vibrant eight-week Sunday morning program designed to immerse children in two age groups: ages 2-4 (ECE) and 5-11 (K-5) in the rich cultural tapestry of the Philippines. Through a series of interactive and educational activities, participants will explore the beauty of Bayanihan (community spirit), Kalikasan (nature), Masarap! (delicious cuisine), Pista at Parada (festivals), Baybayin and Beyond (writing and art), Larong Pinoy (traditional games), Terno and Textiles (fashion and crafts), and finally, Saya at Sayaw (joyful celebration and showcase).

Weekly Theme and Focus (subject to change)
Week 1: Bayanihan - Building Community
Start the journey by celebrating the essence of Bayanihan. Children will engage in team-building activities, community service projects, and storytelling that emphasizes the importance of working together and helping one another. The week will conclude with a collaborative art project that symbolizes the strength of unity.
Week 2: Kalikasan - Nature and Wildlife
Explore the wonders of the Philippines' natural beauty. Through “nature walks”, hands-on experiments, and eco-friendly crafts, children will learn about the importance of preserving the environment and appreciating the diverse flora and fauna that make the country unique.
Week 3: Masarap! - Cuisine and Cooking
Indulge in the flavors of Filipino cuisine! Kids will participate in cooking classes, learning to prepare traditional dishes, and exploring the cultural significance of food. This week aims to foster an appreciation for Filipino culinary heritage and encourage healthy eating habits.
Week 4 : Pista at Parada - Celebrations and Festivals
Dive into the vibrant world of Filipino celebrations and festivals. Children will learn about the various cultural events, create festive decorations, and even participate in a mini "parade" showcasing their crafts. This week fosters a sense of pride and cultural identity.
Week 5: Baybayin and Beyond - Writing and Art
Introduce children to the ancient script of Baybayin and its role in Filipino culture. Participants will engage in calligraphy, storytelling, and artistic expressions inspired by Baybayin. The week encourages a connection between language, art, and cultural identity.
Week 6: Larong Pinoy - Games and Sports
Celebrate traditional Filipino games and sports. Children will engage in friendly competitions, learn traditional games, and understand the cultural significance of each activity. This week promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical activity.
Week 7: Terno and Textiles - Fashion and Crafts
Dive into the world of Filipino fashion and textiles. Kids will explore traditional clothing, design their own terno-inspired crafts, and learn about the importance of weaving and textiles in Filipino culture. This week combines creativity with cultural appreciation.
Week 8: Saya at Sayaw - Learning Celebration and Showcase
Wrap up the program with a grand celebration and showcase of everything learned. Children will present their collaborative projects, showcase their newfound skills, and participate in traditional dances. Families and friends are invited.
